Euro-market cars, conversions, race cars and private sales are tagged separately. They are never silently blended into headline U.S. measures.
One car, one history
The site reads the Listings tab of the Ferrari Collector Specials Google Sheet. VIN is the primary identifier. Re-listings are linked into one vehicle history. Price changes remain events on that car—not new inventory.
Dealer syndication, aggregator copies and auction reappearances are deduplicated. When VIN is unavailable, a conservative match uses year, model, mileage, color, seller and image evidence.
Asks are not sales
Live asks, verified sold results and reserve-not-met high bids remain separate cohorts. A disappearing listing is not treated as a sale without evidence.
Buyer fees are shown both excluded and included when the venue provides them. The site identifies which price convention each chart uses.
Adjusted value
Raw medians remain visible. A separate robust model controls for exact model, trim, body style, transmission, mileage, model year, condition, provenance, venue and transaction date.
The adjustment estimates comparability; it does not erase what makes an individual Ferrari unusual.
Liquidity
Liquidity is shown through its parts: live supply, aged inventory, median days to sale, auction clearance and observed bid–ask spread.
The letter score summarizes those measures for scanning. It never replaces them and is not a forecast of the next sale.
Confidence
Every aggregate carries sample size, coverage period and dispersion. Thin cohorts are labeled low-confidence. A single exceptional car never becomes the market.
Manual overrides, exclusions and corrected records are logged. When the evidence is incomplete, the site says so.
